Have any of you used signed up for insurance via ehealthinsurance. com?

I've been comparing plans on ehealthinsurance.com. The premiums I'm coming up with are better than the group rates we're being offered through our farm bureau plan. I may just apply through ehealthinsurance, but I'd like to hear from anyone else who has gone that route. Thanks!

Yes. My kids are all on Unicare that we got through ehealthinsurance. It's a fairly high deductable, but they get two office visits per year for $30 each, then we pay a percentage after that. We've had it for two years and thankfully have only had to use it once for each kid when they all came down with step over Christmas. For 5 kids, we pay @ $175 a month. I will say my attitude has changed since losing the big corporate insurance when my dh left his job to go self-employed. We do everything possible to treat illness before resorting to a dr. visit. I used to go at the first snifle. The only thing I don't mess with is a high temp or a possible bone break.:) Good luck! I hate dealing with insurance.

work for you, especially if your dc are not in the ER every week. Of course one cannot predict this.

Do you have employees? At my dh's office, he has a group insurance in place with only 3 people. One of them cannot be a family member of course. If you have an employee to whom you would like to offer healthcare, it can actually come out better than just insuring your entire family and no outsiders.

Sounds odd but such is the insurance business!

Yes, I have. We couldn't afford for my to be on dh's plan so I signed up for my own insurance. I had no problems with it and I would use it again! I don't think you'll find a better rate somewhere else. :)
