Kelly in IL
I have purchased the 4-6 and Jr. High Artistic Pursuits for my kids and thought about buying the supply sets from Sonlight, but hope to cut the costs on the supplies. Haven't received the books yet, but am hoping someone would take the time to let me know what the required supplies are for these 2 levels. Thanks for all the support! Myra
Hi - I haven't done grades 4-6, but am doing the first jr high book. You can go onto their website and see a list of supplies needed for each book. You can buy them as a "kit" though them or use a link they provide to get them through other art suppliers. I found that I could make do by buying the supplies, as I needed them, locally for my two children at stores like Staples or Wal-mart, etc. - that made it cost-effective for us (a big factor!) kalanamak
http://www.artisticpursuits.com/03mcont.htm Has a list of supplies. Currently, http://www.dickblick.com has a special money off and cheap shipping offer at the top of his web page. I have had nothing but stellar delivery, etc. from Dick Blick. ElizabethB
We waited for a 40% off sale from Hobby Lobby (I think--one of those crafty stores) and bought locally. It saved a bit, but not as much as I thought it would. In retrospect, I should have just ordered the kit--I'm not artistically inclined at all, they had so many choices and the names on the sheets didn't always align exactly with the names on the products, it took me an hour to find everything and the kids starting losing their minds. Kelly in IL
thanks for all the great advice - I didn't even realize they had a web site, and will check out your other ideas. The point about not being able to find exactly what we need is what had me worried, too...I appreciate everything!
