Angela
I will have a 3rd grader next year and was thinking that it would be fun to study American History & take trips to historical sites throughout the year. I'm interested in reenactments, workshops, organized homeschool trips, curriculum, etc. I just want history to be fun & hands on. Is there such a thing already in existence? Any suggestions? Ann@thebeach
Jamestown is supposed to be great. There are lots of historical tours and museums around the DC area. I hope to take the kids there for amer history in a few years when they can understand it a bit better.
Maria/ME
It would be great to have a list in one spot or site that has all the pertinant historical sites, listed by state! I suppose one could go to each gov. website and peruse that. I know that Maine has a list of historical sites....just a thought. (When you're done could you compile that and start a website!? J/K) ETA: I just did this with N.H. and found quite a bit of info on historic sites and museums, so pick a state and go to their website, and plan away!!
