TMarie
Do you consider the Biblioplan weekly reading assignments heavy? (TOG seems to hit just right for our family.) anewday
Do you consider the Biblioplan weekly reading assignments heavy? (TOG seems to hit just right for our family.) Would I need to pick & choose for the week, or do pretty much everything scheduled? I think there's a lot of reading, yes. But we rarely do the "In Depth Reading" or "Optional" section assignments. You can tailor it very easily. We love the family read aloud aspect of it and try to keep up with those in particular. :) However, I did bog us down with BP because I was used to having used the SOTW Activity Guide the year before (when we weren't using BP). I thought that simply adding it in would work well. It worked OK but I really needed to spend a LOT more time planning/aligning/incorporating AG stuff and it drove me batty. I initially thought I'd just finish out BP this year and go back to just SOTW and the AG for next - but because of BP's literature, planned schedule and the family read alouds...we're going to use BP again. HTH!
Woodland_Mom
I'm planning on using the schedule, but at my own pace. Does that make sense? Is that possible? :) For example, some days there is more than one chapter to read of SOTW. We like to do history 4 days per week, so we'll spread the reading out over the four days. We will not proceed to the next day of biblioplan until we've read the SOTW chapters. My kids are young, so we certainly won't read everything recommended or suggested, but we'll definitely use the read-alouds and the reader suggestions.
