sands31210 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 I will be doing Sonlight's Core 3 with a 9 year old next fall. I was thinking about using 3-D Interactive maps to go along with the core. I have a few questions: Is it easy enough for a 9 year old to do? If not, how much help would they need? After making a few maps, does it get old or does it continue to hold the child's attention? We have used History Pockets and liked them, do you think we would like this? How much time does it take to complete a map and what does it involve? Thanks! Quote
hsmom Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 I will be doing Sonlight's Core 3 with a 9 year old next fall. I was thinking about using 3-D Interactive maps to go along with the core. I have a few questions: Is it easy enough for a 9 year old to do? If not, how much help would they need? yes. After making a few maps, does it get old or does it continue to hold the child's attention? My opinion is since all the maps are different then it makes it fun. We have used History Pockets and liked them, do you think we would like this? Yes, we also liked HP and we really like these. How much time does it take to complete a map and what does it involve? Depends on what all you do. If you just copy, color, glue not too much time. Now if you child wants to add their own touches then a little more time. But if you have used HP then there should be no problem with time about them. So, for the most part it takes really no time at all as long as you do the copies and have the supplies ready before had. Like you would for HP. Thanks! Also if you liked HP and are interested in the 3D pop up maps, go check these out. They are also fun. Also really easy to do Quote
sands31210 Posted April 9, 2009 Author Posted April 9, 2009 Thank you. The pop up reports look cool! Might have to try them too. Quote
