Mommy7
My 6th grader loves to write. She comes up with the most wonderful stuff!!! Any ideas? It needs to be pretty independent, because of my time constraints. Thanks so much!

Guest Dulcimeramy
In my opinion, Story Starters by Karen Andreola is perfect for a sixth grade girl!
Mommy7
I forgot all about Story Starters! I wrote that down as a future resource one time because it looked so good to me. I think the independent creative writing course listed above plus Story Starters would be wonderful together! Thank you very much! :001_smile:
Matryoshka
I'm thinking for some fun summer writing I'm going to have my girls (rising 6th graders) read through this book by the author of Ella Enchanted. It's written in a conversational tone to the student. Each chapter talks about a different aspect of creative writing (plot, character, voice, etc.) and gives an assignment at the end.
