KatieO
Would appreciate any experiences you have had with either ILO or the Ontario Virtual High School. I'm thinking of having daughter sign up for a couple of high school courses but am interested in any input from those who might have already given them a try. Thanks! Heather in Savannah
from May to August. So, at this point, I'm not able to comment. A freind had her daughter do a course with AMDEC and was quite disappointed with the way the course was structured. I chose the ILC because my dd can do that course on her time schedule not the schools. They were the only option when it came to an online/correspondence "summer" school. Ruth in Canada
AMDEC has some extras, like the opportunity to work on the school newspaper and be in clubs. Getting help from ILC teachers takes a long time--AMDEC is much quicker. Neither option is great, in my opinion.
Nikita
A friend of mine has had two of her sons take the grade 9 Canadian geography course through the Virtual High School. She speaks very highly of the experience and of the teacher, although looking at the website today I think perhaps their teacher may have been someone else. I've also had several homeschoolers tell me that taking math through any online school is not generally a good idea, because the workload is inevitably heavy and unforgiving. I think their experiences were primarily with AMDEC. Nikita
KatieO
Thanks for the input! Does anyone know how universities treat such online credits?
