Carmen_and_Company
I've searched the boards. I know I've seen it here before. I can't find it now. :/ Starting in seventh grade, and not wanting to use The Latin Road to English Grammar, or anything by Memoria Press or Classical Academic Press, what would you arrange for a Latin sequence to go through 11th grade? Would it be completely unreasonable to do Lively Latin 1 & 2 in 7th & 8th grades, then jump into So You Really Want to Learn Latin in high school? You probably could jump right into SYRWLL in 8th grade and complete the series during 10th grade. I would probably do Latin Prep I & II over 2 years, Latin Prep 3 1st semester of 9th, and SYRWLL 3 2nd semester. Have you looked at the Latin Book One Yahoo group? http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Latinbk1/ The whole text along with answer keys are provided for all 98 lessons. The author of LBO wrote the text for high school freshman. You could slowly go through LBO over two years, and move on to something like Oxford, Cambridge or Latin Via Ovid.
