Sparrows-Song
I'm looking for a completely independent (student can do totally by himself) vocabulary curriculum for a rising 8th grader- preferrably something he can continue into highschool. And preferrably something with Greek/Latin roots. Any suggestions? Thanks!
FloridaLisa
My dc have used the AMSCO series from Hewitt Homeschool. It's not based on Greek and Latin roots, but incorporates them as well as other prefixes, suffixes and such. If your child is a strong reader with a reasonably developed vocabulary, I would put him in Vocab for the High School Student for 8th and then Vocab for the College Bound for 9th. Miss Marple
I agree with this. We've used Vocab for the College Bound as well as Wordly Wise 3000 series. I like both and think both will get the job done.
