Secrets of Great Communicators - DVD/workbook by Myers

I did a search and found that some of you have used this. It seemed to be well-liked, but can you tell me what is it like? How did you schedule it? I was thinking of alternating it with Logic instruction.

 

My ds is technically "too young" for it (he will be twelve), but he has expressed an interest in public speaking, and I think he would like the DVD aspect of it.

 

If you think it is "too old" for him, do you have any other suggestions?

We did this a couple of years ago. Very easy to use and to watch. The difficult part, if you do it alone, is getting an audience to listen to the speeches.

Our state has already had its speech class this spring. Besides one must be 13 to participate. :( A good idea, though.

You might just ask though, if your student can handle it, they might make an exception.
