Melinda
I would like to buy a binding machine in order to make yearly portfolios for each kid's work. I also want to use it for making workbooks for them to do. What is your favorite binding method? I had no idea that so many options existed. teacalm
I caught a bad case of the Levenger Circa notebook system disease. I pretty much Circasized everything. Although once in a while I hanker for the spiral bound system. Karenciavo post started me on this and it took out a big chunk of change out of my pockets. http://www.levenger.com
elegantlion
I bought the pro-click binding machine last year. Here's a review from my blog. It was definitely one of my best investments for this year.
ElizabethB
I have used clamp binders in the past. You used to be able to get 3 for $5 at one of the office stores, but the price just went up so I may have to reconsider. They are re-usable and easy to use. No machine or work necessary, just put in up to 100 sheets of paper. I use it to make a yearly portfolio of my daughter's art work. Next year, my son will get one too, he's starting to draw now. I save the best work, then in November, go through and put them into 4 piles: 1 for me, 1 for my daughter (she requested her own book!), 1 for each of the Grandparents. Clamp them in, label them with the year, done, 1 year's worth of artwork for everyone, the rest goes in the trash! I also had been using it for my printed version of Webster's Speller, but with the price increase I may just staple or use a big clamp clip thingy. Here's what they look like: http://www.amazon.com/Presstex-Punchless-Binder-Capacity-ACC42522/dp/B000084ISP/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1238531374&sr=8-
