Debbie in IL
Wondering if anyone can give me a rough idea of how long RS Spanish 1 takes on a daily basis. Dd 14 will be starting it next year; I'm working on plans and seeing how this will fit in. Thanks!
katemary63
Sorry, we use it, but don't try to accomplish a certain amount every day. We just do it for 20 minutes each day. I have no idea how long you need to do it daily to be likely to finish a level in a year. But I would like to! :lurk5:
Catwoman
In our very limited experience as Rosetta Stone newbies, we're finding that you can complete a lesson in under 15 minutes. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it, but I never checked to see how many total lessons there are in Level 1, so I don't know how long it would take you to complete the program. (Are you doing Level 1 on its own, or do you want to complete levels 2 and 3 as well?) My best advice would be to call Rosetta Stone and ask them. I have found them to be very helpful when I've called for info. (And let us know what you find out!) Good luck! Cat
Debbie in IL
Thank you, everyone! I appreciate your help very much. Thanks, also, for the idea to call RS directly - I think I will do that as well.
Catwoman
I hope your dd enjoys using Rosetta Stone -- are you going to do it along with her? We decided to make learning Spanish into a family thing. Cat
Debbie in IL
Ummm...no. ;) I am maxed out! I am learning Latin along with them - that is about all I can handle in addition to regular teaching responsibilities. Good for you and your family for learning together! That is awesome. I hope you have a great year with it!
