Nestof3
Nathan has been thoroughly enjoying the High School World and American History courses from the Teaching Company. This set goes on sale quite often, but your library may carry it. If they do not, ask them to! They are on sale right now for $79.95 each, though: http://www.teach12.com/teach12.aspx Don't let the fact that it is for high schoolers deter you -- it is great for younger students. HSDCY
Thanks for recommending this, I was going to purchase them later for middle school/high school. But I am glad your mentioned this is suitable for younger students, too. Did you use this for fun/supplement or part of your "curriculum"? We are studying American History next year and I see that their Early American History DVDs are on sale too. Would these DVDs serve as a history spine or are they better left as supplement? My high schooler watched them when he was studying American and World History. He also watched other Teaching CO courses -- his favorite being the Winston Churchill one. They are not enough to act as a course in themselves. There are also college level Western civ courses which are good for highschoolers. My boys are just watching them right now for fun. We are still in SOTW Volume 2, but they watch any of them. They are entertaining.
Bokons
Are these courses Christian or secular?
