3browneyedboys4me
teaching a rising 5th grader the foundations of Greek? And, would I also be able to use it for a rising 3rd grader?? Neither of my children have ANY exposure to Greek. Would this be a good start? Thanks, Bethany
abbeyej
It's just the alphabet. That's all. That's hardly "the foundations" of Greek. More like clearing a space to build the foundation. But it's a first little baby step. :) You certainly wouldn't need any previous exposure to Greek to use it.
3browneyedboys4me
Ok....well, I guess I have more research to do! Any suggestions on a good beginner Greek curriculum? Grade 5.:tongue_smilie:

H.S. Burrow
Elementary Greek. :iagree:This is what my DS will begin this fall. He is currently working through the Greek Alphabet Code Cracker. It's fun and provides a good introduction to the Greek Alphabet. He enjoys it, but as a previous poster stated, it's just the alphabet. Malenki
If Elementary Greek doesn't look good to you, there's also Hey Andrew! Teach Me Some Greek but it definitely moves slower. And isn't Classical Academic Press (who make the Greek Alphabet Code Cracker) coming out with Greek for Children 1 soon? Just to throw another option at you.
