Melissa in CA
I ran across this today and am wondering if anyone has tried it? I am struggling with getting Latin accomplished here, and am thinking that it would be awfully nice to source it out (hand it over) to someone else. ;) The price does not seem too terribly high. I mentioned to my son that I was thinking we would drop Latin this fall and he grumbled about that. It seems he does not want to drop Latin, and yet he does not go out of his way to get it done each week either. Unfortunately when I get busy, Latin is the first subject I let slide. Perhaps this online class would be a win-win. Can anyone tell me about it? Do I need super fast internet service, or would a Verizon broadband air card be fine. We cannot get DSL here. Did you find the class really helped your child, or was it a waste of money. Anything you can offer in advice would be helpful. I am thinking my son would need to start at the beginning with the LCI class.
mamagina7
We have used Memoria Press online courses for the last two years and love them. We used the Latina Christiana the first year and Henle Latin this year. Catherine is learning more with Henle Latin. We've also used the English, Logic, Political Science and History classes . For us it has been a good use of our money and the girls have really enjoyed the teachers and interaction with other kids. If you have any other questions feel free to ask me. I am not sure about the technical part-but they are so helpful.
Melissa in CA
mamagina7, could you tell me how the classes are conducted? Is it a live video feed where you see the teacher, or something where you just hear the teacher speaking, writing, etc. I don't really know what to ask! LOL I wish they offered an online "sample" like VP does so I could see how it is done.
