Kim in SouthGa Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I've lost almost 30 pounds...I weigh 130 now with clothes and shoes on. I can wear a size 8 for the first time in 14 years! But the fat blob around my middle is not budging. I exercise at least 5 times a week, changing it up with weights and aerobics and aerobics w/jogging intervals. I eat pretty well. I will admit I have not been doing as good since the rush of Valentine's Day sweets. That threw me off. I don't drink soft drinks (diet or regular), eat fries, and have very very few sweets (usually TCBY, if I do splurge). 90% of the time, I only eat whole wheat breads. I am probably not eating enough raw veggies. What else can I do? I know someone posted here about getting a personal trainer. I can't do that, but would love to know what the trainer did to get her in shape! thanks, Quote
Veritaserum Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 T-Tap helped me. I just do the Basic Workout Plus 15 minute lazy-man's work-out. :p Quote
Dagny Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 For me, all white carbs go straight to my belly. I can tell the difference quickly. Cut out white flour, white rice, and potatoes. For a while you might want to reduce your wheat bread consumption, too. Then, incorporated it back into your diet, slowly. Good luck, and WAY TO GO losing 30 lbs!!! That is truly awesome! Quote
Alexandra Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I really like Callanetics for toning. You can only get it at Amazon. I would recommend the 10 Years in 10 Workouts or the Callanetics Evolution. Evolution is my favorite workout. Ever. I have done Ttapp and have several of her dvds. I never found that I got the results that I wanted. Also, my back started ...not hurting exactly but it was talking to me kwim? My dh thanks me for doing Callanetics. Go to Amazon and check out some of the reviews. Quote
Kim in Appalachia Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 You will have to eat less and exercise more. Your best bet is to calorie count, or something like Weight Watchers, which counts points. You will also need to increase your exercise time, or intensity. Even just changing the way you exercise may help. It is hard to loose weight around the middle.:glare: I can't seem to do it either. I am in the process of trying to increase my exercise time, but managed to get shin splints, so I out of running for a least another week. It is really hard to decrease how much you eat. I can't seem to do it. My sister is doing this, and I've watched my mom, and I know I have to eat a lot less. I have been eating well. Lots more fruits and veggies, mostly whole wheat, no junk, etc..., but this is not doing it. I know I have to calorie count if I really want to loose weight, but I dread being that careful. Quote
