Artistic Pursuits or Atelier Art?

I have almost finished Artistic Pursuit K-3, Book 1 and the first level of Atelier. I like both programs, and we will continue to use both. One of my daughter's passions is art. However, I definitely prefer Atelier and so does she. I like that with Atelier:

I just lay out the supplies and she does the lesson along with the DVD.

She enjoys the lessons so much that she asks to do them almost daily. Most of the lessons we have done several times so I feel like we really get our money out of it.

The projects that she creates are nice too. We are overwhelmed with her art right now.

The variety of projects in Atelier are nice too. They use different mediums and some of them include artist appreciation.

Artistic pursuit:

I like that some of the lessons were related to history.

I like discussing the art prints with my daughter.

She enjoyed some of the projects, but not all.

There is a nice variety of activities, but my daughter got tired of all the clay activities.

I have already purchased level 2 of both and both look good.

The artistic pursuit book 2 looks better than level 1 to me. I like the focus on the artists and it will give us a chance to learn about a lot of different artists.

Level 2 of Atelier looks just as good as level 2 and she can't wait to use it.

Anyway, both programs are good. But, I do prefer Atelier.

I have not tried Artistic Pursuits, but we love Atelier here. It is super easy to use and does not require a lot of unusual supplies. The kids love it and would like to do it every day if I could handle the mess of art every day. We did level 1 this year and will continue with it.
