carol
What online programs are there? My son will be entering 7th grade. I am not looking for an all inclusive program but one to teach literature, language, spelling. He is on various levels, so it'd need to be one the would help feel gaps. Any recommendations? Sunshine State Sue
Here are a bunch. They may or may not be for 7th grade. They may or may not have language arts. http://www.pottersschool.org/ http://resources.veritaspress.com/Scholars_Online/Scholars_Online_Main.html http://www.scholarsonline.org/Info/index.php http://www.memoriapress.com/onlineschool/ http://reginacoeli.org/ http://www.oxfordtutorials.com/ http://www.artesian-wells.com/ http://www.greatbooksacademy.org/ http://www.pahomeschoolers.com/courses/
JenniferB
I use K-12 through my state VA. It's paid for by state tax dollars, virtually no out of pocket expense for the parents. I love it. It's not totally online however. The record keeping is all on-line and some of the lessons are on-line, but some of the lessons are done away from the computer using books and sometimes worksheets. The language arts is very thorough, and the literature is very well done with classic books and stories. I'm very happy with it. http://www.k12.com/ Here is one more to add to your list: http://www.bjupress.com/resources/landing-pages/distance-learning-online/
