Dirtroad
My daugher is in 3rd grade and wants to learn spanish. I have 2 workbooks (one with a CD) but they have turned out to be pitiful. The CD & book are good for pronunciation but the lessons are useless unless she is going to a park with a pink balloon and a brown dog. No real conversation tools. The second workbook is great for the vocabulary, but no explanation of pronunciation. So frustrating. My son is in Prima Latina & doing well. Is there a Spanish curriculum with this type of format? Not too expensive, but very thorough. Help?
Matryoshka
My 3rd grade dd is enjoying Español para chicos y grandes. I like it because it does introduce sentences and verbs, not just a bunch of nouns. It has a text, workbook, and CD.
Ohdanigirl
I just looked through their web site and it looks a lot like the books my nephews use here in Mexico...I would say that's a good sign. Plus it doesn't look too pricey. Good luck in your search. don't for get to supplement with some really ez books on tape from you library...believe me, it works. Dirtroad
Thank you. She was so excited to learn & we have an hispanic ministry at our church (plus a great local restaurant where they are always happy to see her). She wanted to learn things to say to them & ask them. But the curriculums have been poor choices. I will go investigate the suggestion. Thank you so much.
