Harriet Vane
Dd wants to publish her short stories. I have told her I am willing to consider her having a blog this summer. She also wants to be "officially" published, and has mentioned even getting paid for it. 1. Any tips for blogging for pre-teens? Resources? 2. Any resources/links to which she can submit her short stories? 3. Any paid venues to which she can submit her stories? Thanks!

Maria/ME
Greetings: Do you mean publishing or freelancing for teens? If your dd is interested in freelancing here is a great article I googled by a teen who is doing just that. With suggestions etc. Freelancing Teen If you mean publishing have you thought of self publishing? Lulu.com and it's ilk come to mind. Hope that gives a start...sorry I don't have any other ideas! Melissa B
I self published a book for my daughter (age 9.) She gave the books as Christmas gifts to friends and relatives. Lulu is a great site. A good magazine for pre-teen publishing (but no payment) is Stone Soup.
