Wendi
My ds will be in 7th grade next year. We've been using Veritas for history, and he loves it. However, I'm not sure if he's ready for Omnibus yet. So I'm looking into some other programs. I'd also like to do something that's more planned out for me. I think Winter Promise looks really interesting. I'm wondering what their Language Arts program is like? I couldn't find any samples. If I decide I don't want to use their LA, is it easy to just skip it and use something else? Thanks, Wendi
siloam
Wendi, Yes you can use something else for just LA (and still use their readers), or use something else for both LA and readers. Their LA tend to bring together lots of different workbooks, so you might look under the different workbook names. Heather

Tiffani
Hi Wendi, I started using WP LA this year, but I too am an IEW user and decided to do it along with Grammar w/ a Giggle. (that's in the LA 7) I really like the LA for the younger grades. I prefer IEW's approach to writing over WP's therefore I've stuck w/ it and dropped all the "busy" work of the workbooks.
