Is is possible to use only the secular parts of it (no missionary stories or Bible) and still have a full social studies experience? Is it worth using if you're dropping out all the religious material? Is there anything out there, similar to GTG that IS secular?

Just curious,

We used it entirely secularly. I found it no problem at all. The one book I highly recommend to go along with it is Children Just Like Me which is also completely secular and even touches slightly on each of the children's religions in all the different countries.

I felt that removing the religious content and trying to use the book secular, left little content. I returned the book. I felt that with the amount of material I would have been gathering via the internet/library to supplement the book, it was just as easy to plan my own units.
