PollyOR
I found an ad for Singapore Math at an Oregon teacher's supply store. Does anyone know anything about this? I looked on the Frank Schaffer website and didn't see any info. "Frank Schaffer Publications is proud to announce Singapore Math available at Learning Palace June 2009." Karen in CO
Don't know anything about that, but my local teacher's supply store has a homeschool section and Singapore math is one the the items they carry.
PollyOR
Karen, thanks for the reply. I noticed a few homeschool related items in the store recently (Saxon, LifePacs?), but not much. I'm excited to see what they have planned.
LunaLee
From what I understand about it, Frank Schaffer has come out with their own workbooks that correspond with Singapore or teach the Singapore Method. I don't believe that they are called "Primary Math" or whatever. Now don't quote me, because we (the owner of the store where I work) only discussed it briefly, and we couldn't really figure out how Frank Schaffer could get a hold of rights to Singapore math because Marshall Cavendish has them for publication here in the states, from what I understand. So maybe FS has caught on that Singapore is gaining popularity here in the states, as evidence by being adopted for use in the California and Oregon school systems and came up with somthing to supplement that way of teaching and scope and sequence.
