Maria/ME
I just wanted to pick someones brain a little bit. Wondering if anyone out there has a business in which they sell wholesale. Wondering about how you work the business around homeschooling. Wondering about trade shows etc. Is your whole family involved in the business? Pros/Cons? Just general input and thought. My SIL has had a wholesale business for the last 20 years or so. She is encouraging us to think outside the box a bit in terms of income. We have been throwing around the idea of starting a wholesale business as a family. We are in the R&D stage right now and I thought this would be a good place for input! Jean in Newcastle
I've manned a booth at a tradeshow - very boring with bursts of activity!
Maria/ME
Jean: May I ask what you sell? Can you tell me, is this a family business? Does your family join you at shows? How are you managing the juggle between homeschooling and your business. Those seem like such obvious questions. I'm sorry...it's just that I think working out of the home for the most part would be such a challenge to my procrastinating personality! Jean in Newcastle
I'm sorry I wasn't very clear. This was a while ago - when I used to work for an engineering company. We would have a booth at an engineering tradeshow now and then. As one of the low "men" on the totem pool I got to go to them. But I have seen whole families at homeschooling conferences.
