RebeccaS
:banghead::smash::cursing: I have to shop the slims for my 4yr old. He is so super slim that even slims have to have a snugger in the waist. Ok, fine. At least slims aren't so baggy on him as regulars. However, I can't find shirts to really fit him. He's such a scrawny guy that when he wears his shirts, they're baggy and huge looking on him. If I go to what fits him better, it's way too short (because he needs a 4/4T length, but a 24m/2T fit otherwise) I have the same trouble with my oldest girl, but in the opposite way. I can find her pants that are plus, but not shirts. Do they think that regular shirts are going to fit when my girl has quite a pouch? (FWI, we are working on helping her with that, but in the mean time....) :bigear: So, any thoughts-suggestions on where to find things? With girls styles today (skimming in towards the waist), my poor dd needs a shirt that ranges in the 12/14 size, but they fit her so horribly everywhere but her middle. My poor ds needs a shirt that doesn't look like a sack.
Kim in Appalachia
I would try adult small or X-small. The adult size tends to be longer. You could also try Junior's. Right now the style is longer instead of shorter for tops. A small in Junior's also may fit better than the 12/14 in kids. HTH

Old Navy has the slimmest boys t-shirts. Fortunately for your daughter, short shirts are definitely out this season. This season there are lots of t-shirts in the girls section of Old Navy that are fitted at the shoulder, but flair out at the waist! http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=6793 HTH- Mandy

I had not checked Old Navy in quite some time due to the fact that the cut of the shirt was totally not flattering to dd, even plus sized. These shirts look much more doable. And thanks for the tip on the boys' jeans/shirts. My little guy has always had eating issues (he doesn't like to do it and we spent years with a feeding tube, so he's at the bottom of the charts for weight and not likely to climb up anytime soon.:001_smile:)

He may be taller now, because his jeans are getting shorter. He runs between 110 and 115 fully clothed including tennis shoes. The crazy thing is my 17yo was off the bottom of the charts for both height and weight at 6yo. He is now 5'6" which is a little short, but taller than I had anticipated, and 150lbs. Oh, and he has really broad shoulders and a behind! I never thought I would see that either! So, you never can tell. Mandy
Matryoshka
For the super-slim pants, try Old Navy. They sell slims that have the adustable elastic so you can make them even slimmer - that's where I have to buy pants for two of my dds. The Gap (which owns Old Navy) also has that kind of pants, but they cost more there. :glare:
Dobela
Land's End also has slim and husky for boys and girls. They are more expensive than walMart, but the only place we can find clothing for our kids. IF you sign up for their emails they send great discounts almost weekly. The quality is excellent as well. Some things we bought new have now gone thru 3 kids and still going strong.
