dcjlkplus3
I have decided that we need a children's dictionary in our house. My oldest is 7, and will be starting 3rd grade when she turns 8 in Sept. My youngest just turned 4. I want a dictionary easy to use and read, that we won't outgrow in the next year or two. Any suggestions??? :bigear:
AudreyTN
I have the American Heritage Children's Dictionary. It's recommended for ages 9-12, but we started using it in First Grade. :)
dcjlkplus3
I have the American Heritage Children's Dictionary. It's recommended for ages 9-12, but we started using it in First Grade. :) Do you (and your kids) like it and use it a lot? What do you like best about it? A year or two ago I checked one out from our library (maybe Scholastic?) and it didn't have ANY of the words my dd was asking about, so I'm being a little particular. Thanks! AudreyTN
I have to admit that we don't do as much dictionary work as I'd like... but I like it and I haven't had a problem yet.
