mom2abcd
http://www.logosschool.com/materials/shop/search.asp here ya go :001_smile: Is it in the Elementary Staff Manual? A Curriculum Guide for a specific grade? What facts do they review? I'd love to see a sample of this.
laughing lioness
It's not a curriculum guide. It's a "sound-off." The teacher states the name of a state and then the kids recite the rest of the fact list. The facts are random (like you don't have each state's flower, motto, etc)and it's just called, "State Facts." The facts are interesting, usually have something to do with the state industry, point of interest, etc. For instance, Washington: 1. STATE: Washington 2. CAPITAL: Olympia 3. Washington is the only state named after a President 4. Washington produces mroe apples than any other state. 5. Washington's highest point, Mt. Rainier, is atually an inactive volcano. There is an 8 1/2 x 11 copy of a map of the U.S. in the front. Each page lists 3-5 states with a outline of the state and it's capital next to the facts and a U.S. map at the top of the page. hth:001_smile:
