sted
We are at Week 11 in Homer A. My daughter just turned ten. She's a strong writer but we both are getting somewhat bogged down with the grammar. I pulled out her Aesop A book (we did Writing Tales 2 the following year) and realized we hadn't done the last two stories. Well, they were much easier for her to understand and the grammar assignments weren't overwhelming. What if I ordered Aesop B and then devoted more time for her and I to "catch up" on grammar using something like Analytical Grammar which I think teaches diagramming and the like! Would she be totally board doing Aesop B? Should I look for a different program? I keep hearing so many good things about CW. Help, Shannon
Patricia in WA
Some questions: What about the grammar is difficult? Are you using a separate grammar program. If so, which? Harvey? Are you using the workbook for Homer A?
Julie in GA
Your ds has plenty of time to get through the program. My ds just turned 10 in January and is in Aesop B right now. The first part of Homer A is quite similar to Aesop, but then things pick up and the learning curve gets steep.
