robbie
Does anyone have a good schedule for combining SOTW vol 3 and TOG? I am currently using SOTW and MOH but for 3rd grade I would really like to use TOG and SOTW. I really need things laid out for me-! Thank you Robbie
WTMindy
TOG actually schedules SOTW for you as one of the alternate texts you can use. Because TOG cuts off at a different place then SOTW does, in year 2 of TOG you will use both SOTW 2 & 3. In year 3 of TOG you use SOTW3 and I'm not sure if you get into volume 4 or not because I'm not there yet.
Rhonda in TX
It does use SOTW 4 as an alternate text. I believe that TOG 4 is just the 20th century, so that would mean that the end of TOG 3 covers the first part of SOTW 4.

I see all of the books they are using in TOG for each unit, but I haven't seen any of the recommended spines. Have you enjoyed TOG? I really like STOW but wanted to try TOG along with it for a more detailed program. Look forward to hearing from you, Robbie

In the Redesign you turn to the yellow book pages, and the alternative list is on the right. SOTW is usually listed at the top under LG, I think. The classic didn't have it, but I think the year 3 TOG group has a schedule in the files. Heather
razorbackmama
Thank you , Can you tell me where on the TOG website SOTW is used as an alternative text. I see all of the books they are using in TOG for each unit, but I haven't seen any of the recommended spines. They only list the recommended books on the website. If a book is on the alternate list (like SOTW), it's not listed on the website, but it is on the reading assignment page.
