Nestof3
I have been allowing them to listen to an audio book or music while doing their Getty-Dubay Italic page. Ben's listening to Peter Dennis' reading of Winnie the Pooh, and Nathan's listening to The Return of the King read by Rob Inglis. It has helped Ben, in particular, slow down. Psm73
What a great idea! My dd has been protesting handwriting lately and this might be the trick I need. Someone on here suggested Story Nory a couple of days ago to me for my dd's mp3 player and I'm so grateful. I can't believe all the great stories on there ... and all for free! I'm going to try your idea next week for handwriting using some of the Story Nory downloads. Thanks so much.
dee67p
We love Storynory and it is true that all the sudden writing is been difficult. My 2nd grader is facing frustrations while trying to complete handwriting. I allow him to take breaks and do other things, then come back to the task for completion. We also listen to stories from librivox.org.

christielee7278
I saw "handwriting" "enjoyable" "boys, and knew I had to check this out!! It really does sound like a great idea!! Our local library has books on little "ipods".....so cute!! I bet this would be great for my oldest son who has been begging me to let him check out one of those little mp3 players. We may just make a deal on that now!! Thanks for posting!!
