krisp
I'm glad you found something you like and that's working. We love Right Start here too (dd is in C and ds is about to start A)
jubilee
Great review and thanks for sharing! We recently started RS Math Level B and are enjoying math again! It is great to find something that works.
Mommy22alyns
Thanks for sharing the review! We're doing RS A after hitting a wall with Singapore 1B and Becca says that she likes math now because it's fun. And it's good to know that LoF is language based - language is Becca's strongest suit, so I'll file that idea away for when she's older. Miss Sherry
In case someone is interested in more information about this program, here is a very detailed review of it by Cathy Duffy. http://www.cathyduffyreviews.com/math/right-start-math.htm
buddhabelly
I'm glad you found this curriculum, Michelle. We were fortunate to find it right away, meaning when we first began homeschooling. We are now on Lesson 85 of Level "E." I think Level E is marvelous -- ds is performing division effortlessly and is now factoring numbers into primes and better yet, knowing WHY he might need to factor into primes! I love how they never teach a technique without introducing a situation in which the technique would help. I think Level E begins a little slowly and that's perhaps why it gets a bad rap. I'm glad we didn't toss it like so many on this board did. Not sure what we'll use next year (5th grade) -- perhaps Singapore 6A & 6B, but will also take a look at Right Start Geometry. Happy "playing"! (I mean ----sssssh, doing math.) Julie
