Has anyone done Henle I in only 2 years?...or even one year??

Recommended Posts

This is our first year with Henle, but we will complete it (every exercise) in two years. We are using the MODG syllabus, and my son spends about an hour a day, six days a week, on Latin. (He enjoys it, so he doesn't mind that sixth day at all.) He went through both Latina Christiana books before starting Henle.

Do you think he could have done it without Latina Christian, first? My kids are doing what yours are, except they are taking longer. They are on track for 4 years, but two of the kids in the class are in ps and just don't have an hour a day...

I'm wondering about another group of kids...and the ability to do it in 2 years without any prior Latin.

How old are they? A highschooler could do the schedule. A motivated middle school, who memorizesfairly easily, could do it. Do you know Latin? If you know Latin, the students will pick it up easier, and thus move faster. It took about two and a half years for my son to finish. We had done a little Latina Christiana before it.

Yes, I think he could have. Probably not before 5th grade, though. How old are the children you'll be teaching?
