Grace is Sufficient
I've looked into that a bit as my son is interested in that field as well. I would think a degree in computer science with the particular specialization which most interests you is what you should work toward. Most colleges offer at least something along those lines, but you may want to try to narrow your goals a bit as it is a wide field. LoriM
My entire professional career outside of the classroom has been in Information Systems, as both an Information Systems Associate and Data Management Specialist. My degrees are in math and statistics. :) My graduate work was done at a school where I could also take courses in the business school in Business Organizational Management and Business Modeling. Most business schools have programs in MIS, but good computer science programs would have programming coursework that would be foundational for a systems analyst. You might even find that a Microsoft certification program would be sufficient.
Krista in LA
That's what I did before homeschooling. I have a BBA in Mgmt Info Systems. A BS in computer science would also be a good option. I found that having the business classes were very helpful in my jobs - I understood the business process, management, etc much better and could grasp the big picture and understand client needs better. JWSJ
A degree in Information Systems/Management is very different than a degree in Comp. Sci. I have met many that enjoyed one but not the other.
