Nestof3
and has to be reordered and reinstalled. I am so furious. First off, it had a huge slice mark in it and had one corner with a square cut out of it. It was special order carpet and NOT cheap. After turning it around and ordering enough for the hallway (which would have needed seaming anyway) and completely installing it, the installers saw that there were crease marks every three feet. I had hoped to have some things moved back in from the POD tonight -- expecially the bookshelves because I wanted to purge more from them. Now, we're looking at possibly a week for the new install. And, tomorrow, I'm having an educational yard sale from 10 am - 2pm. Yes, I know things could be worse. But, nothing has gone right!
TraceyS/FL
OH man, that stinks. My parents had that happen - they kept getting told "it's a seam", until the other installer came and LOOKED at it on his hands and knees. Nope, that is a flaw that runs 6 inches away from the seam.... right down the center of their house/hallway. Of course, they didn't come look at it BEFORE they moved the stuff into it right? :grouphug: Hopefully the new stuff comes quick!
bettyandbob
At least they are going to make it right. I've done enough projects and replaced enough stuff over the years. Sometimes even with a good installer, things go wrong the first time. It's inconvenient, but at least they are willing to do the right thing.
