Pamela H in Texas
Thank you...I needed that :) Seriously, we got our income tax money today, the most we've ever gotten back (by far). And I have bills that need to be paid, but I'm scared to death to spend a dime of it. So far, I've been to approx 8 websites to pay things that need to be paid. I've paid 3 and that is just what I would have paid with hubby's regular pay check (also in today). I have never felt so paralyzed by a check! Pamela H in Texas
I had a list of things to pay and spend it on. I just don't want it gone.

Jennifer in MI
Think of how good you'll feel after those bills are paid. And, won't paying those bills off free up money for next month to get the things you want?! (That's how I'd look at it anyway!) We were surprised by the amount we got back this year. We always try to break even. I think we're going to put it toward a new car. Ours is costing us nearly as much to fix as a car payment would cost now. classics4us
Just do it! lol :D I am right there with ya, ours came yesterday and today I will be paying off those bills that have been bogging us down for the past few months. I hate to see my cash dwindle but the feeling of not having to worry about where the $$ will come from to pay them will be a great relief. StaceyinLA
But I already know it's going toward my soon-to-be-16yodd a car. Thank goodness hubby has gotten a couple of really good bonuses the last 2 months and we were able to pay all those annoying little doctor bills, pay for dd's wisdom tooth extraction, and still have some cash on hand. So, dd will be able to get her car - that makes THREE teens on the roads!!
MgoBlue
We just got dh's w2's yesterday! I'm frightened to spend a dime of it as well because I'm so worried about layoffs! There's talk that dh will have to take a 10-15% paycut this month as well...(works for auto company & they have to submit their plan to the gov't by feb 17)... You just don't know what to do...but if you have cc bills...then I'd just pay them as long as you have some cushion in the bank. If you pay them off & that left you with zero savings--I'd reconsider spending it all. IT's tough to save a chunk of change. Paula
