samba2nite
I'm looking for a Science program I can "afterschool" for my science junkie yahoos. I'd love to hear about what others are using for their homeschool science program. Insight and wisdom is requested and welcome. Thanks!! chiguirre
Here's a freebie that you might like. You'd probably need to do both Otter and Little Otter unless your 5yo is advanced. We're doing Little Otter now and enjoying it a lot. http://www.ourlosbanos.com/homeschool/otters_science_main.html
Lovedtodeath
The World Around Me (PK-2nd) (This one is more K-3rd) Shoot & Sprout, Buzz & Bite (1st-4th) We are using this one it is beautiful and the program guide is a great help. Rock Around the Earth (3rd-6th) http://www.arn.org/arnproducts/rs4k/rs20.htm Real Science 4 Kids, there is a pre-level as well. I really like the God's Design curriculum as well. It is included in the Shoot and Sprout, Buzz and Bite package that we are using.

King Alfred Academy
I have a 5 and 8 yr.old and we started out using NOEO Biology 1 this year. Like the program, but decided to take things in a different direction and study stuff that interests us. We do a lot of reading of "living books" and lapbooks. I have planned out next years science from the lapbooks available on homeschoolshare.com and the books available at the baldwin project. So far we are going to be doing a unit on Intro. to Chemistry, dinosaurs, meerkats, sharks, ect. Also, check out Barb's nature study ideas. They are great! :001_smile:
