Avila
I got the The Latin Centered Curriculum, Sonlight Core 1 IG, all of Classical Writing Poetry A, and all but the student workbooks for Classical Writing Aesop A and B at a consignment store today for a great price. Can you tell I am a little excited? ;) What is everyone else buying, or am I the only one starting the madness already?
tkeller
Where on earth did you find such a great consignment store? I wish we had a store like that around here! I've found several books for Sonlight at local goodwill stores, but that's it. Most everything I've bought recently has been from online people! Congrats on your score! mama25angels
Congratulations on a great find!!! We don't even have a consignment shop and i'm having trouble finding things used online as well.
Avila
Mine is in St. Louis. I don't usually have this kind of luck! I go about 4 times a year, and this is the luckiest I have ever been. I think some classical homeschooler went out of business or something!
Melenie
Wow those are great finds. I have not found any curriculum deals lately, but our library sells the withdrawn books for 25c. I am filling up my library with great books that way. They seem to be pulling the children classics off the shelves now and I cannot keep up with bookshelves any more. Chris in VA
My library discards classics all the time, too, Melenie. Shame on them! I found Rod and Staff on Homeschool Classifieds very cheaply--awaiting the arrival. I also found two text books from the high school on the used book sale shelf at the library, but I was going to return them to the school--some kid has a big book fine to pay at the high school! Carol in Cal.
...returned but unused, for 20% off!
HSmom25andRN
Sonlight 2008 American History in Depth Colplete (without Hakim) for $200. Everything is brand new, including the IG so I am thrilled. I have been reading the books already. Angela
