Johanna
...this is what my email said: Your request to join the VP_Elementary group was not approved. The moderator of each Yahoo! group chooses whether to restrict membership in the group. Moderators who choose to restrict membership also choose whom to admit. Why???? Thats just not right! Please resubmit it so that I can properly approve you." shhhhhooooooo! (wiping forehead) I thought that I had a fake bad yahoo group reputation or something!! LOL ...glad to know it was a glitch! alpidarkomama
I think it automatically gets rejected if the moderator takes too long to accept a new member. That's happened to me twice. :)

Yes, that does happen. And also, yahoo crashed yesterday. a
Dmmetler
It does. In addition, my experience as a group moderator is that if you do the "approve" via e-mail, it sometimes doesn't "Take", which then leads to someone who you would have approved happily getting rejected because it times out. asta
Yes, but the OP started this thread over a year ago. :tongue_smilie: oops - another one of those threads. Gotta pay attention to dates... Interesting that both resurrected threads were about being denied entry into hs groups. a
Sebastian (a lady)
It does. I realize this is an old thread, but I discovered a quirk with Yahoo recently. If you add someone directly (bypassing the invitation to add them from another email list), but they had previously gone to Yahoogroups and asked to join, then adding them won't work. And it isn't all that obvious, especially if you were adding several names, say from a list of new registrations. I have had to go in and approve pending members after adding their emails directly didn't work
