For those who do CLE math, how can I hit Algebra in 8th grade?

so there's no Pre-Algebra needed at all-just CLE up to and including Level 7, then straight to Algebra I and they do fine?

You chose for grade 8.

I have CLE math 7 but haven't use the whole level. My oldest used Chalkdust algebra I for a while and stopped then did Saxon algebra I for awhile then stopped (I got sick & hospitalized 3x's); then he did 2 lightunits in CLE math 7. CLE math 7 is VERY similar to Saxon algebra I (at least the first 50 lessons in Saxon alg.I) except CLE does math in smaller steps (as I recall). Ds is doing very well with algebra I (9th gr) at his private high school.

Look at the CLE scope & sequence chart to compare it to other pre-algebra programs (BJU table of contents, & Saxon & others). Don't take my word for it - educate yourself to make sure this is the path for your dc.
