shalom22
I personally would not do that. It is not a secure transmission like ordering over an internet site that has security features. You don't know who might pick it up at the other end.
G5052
If the other side is good about picking up faxes and securing them, you're actually more secure than saying your credit card number over the phone. Phone conversations are NOT secure at all, particularly if you use a cell or portable phone. The level of sophistication needed to pick up a phone conversation is pretty low if you're determined. The equipment and skill needed to pick up a fax is more difficult, and frankly rarely done because it so much harder. Internet fraud is much more common because so few websites truly have the security that they say they have. I still shop on Internet, but I don't trust any of them. Thirty years of working with computers and those who manage them hasn't given me much confidence at all. Sharon in SC
Thanks. According to IT knowledgeable dh, email is bad, fax is fine. He was comfortable with my communicating with our mortgage broker sensitive info by fax but NOT email. FWIW, dh is VERY safety minded (ie if it's OK for him, it's OK). :tongue_smilie:
Carpe Diem
Thanks everyone. I went with the majority. I sent it. I hope it gets shredded as they say.
Parrothead
Over a land line or fax you should be okay.
