OnTheBrink
So far I have navy bean soup, corn bread and an apple pear salad that's sweet, so it's sort of desserty. Do you think I need to include a green salad, too, or is the soup and corn bread enough? This is an elderly couple, if that matters.
Teresa in MO
I don't think you need a green salad. It all sounds yummy!
JudoMom
I think it's enough, and it sounds yummy :001_smile:.
SapphireStitch
I think that sounds like enough. If your dinner recipients are craving something fresh the pear salad will fit that need. If you had time and inclination you could add something like cookies or brownies, in case they'd like something to snack on with coffee or tea at bedtime...but I doubt they would feel neglected if you skipped that part. Tap
Sounds perfect as is. I don't think I would want a salad with bean soup anyways. If you happen to make homemade jam, that would go nicely with the cornbread :0)
Carol in Cal.
The rest sounds great but kind of sweet and heavy. The salad would be more refreshing and balance everything out.
