ummtafari
Anyone use these rules and compile your own program for your children? If so, how did you do it?

Lori D.
It's simple and quick to do each week. We use the reference book "The ABCs and All Their Tricks". Each week we take one or two letter/sound patterns, discuss, and use words listed in the book for those patterns, plus words from Natural Speller and/or lists of 1000 or 5000 most common words, plus words they miss from their writing which fit the patterns. This has not only allowed us to gear the spelling words exactly at the student's level, but helped us to learn vocabulary as well, as the lists in "The ABCs..." always include a wide range of words, from simple to advanced. BEST of luck in your spelling journey! Warmly, Lori D.
