ELaurie
I think it's an event with important historical significance, and it fits with this weeks chapter in SOTW 3 ;), but I don't want to spend more than an hour or so at the most watching television on a school day (especially since we spent much of today building with Legos and I let ds 9 go sledding for a couple of hours with a friend this afternoon). Any suggestions about when / what to watch? Or should we just wait until it's over and watch the nightly news coverage?
Stacia
The newspaper listed the inaguration ceremony itself as being from 11:30 to 12:30. Maybe you could have lunch in front of the tv & then move on to other things?
Starr
The inauguration is probably more school appropriate than the parade.

ELaurie
Thanks. I assume that's eastern time - so it would be an hour earlier in the Midwest?
Linda in Oregon
Yes, an hour earlier for you in the Midwest - maybe like at mid morning snack time for you. Three hours earlier here for me (breakfast time) in the PNW. Edited January 20, 2009 by Linda in Oregon
