katalaska
Thinking of going there with family over spring break... Would like to make plans now but would like some good deals. One dc will have a birthday while we're there...so that's one free day for one person. Tell me where I should stay! Tell me what else to see/do in the area! Pretend that I have an unlimited budget. :D

Veritaserum
Costco has good deals for passes, particularly if you're also interested in seeing other So Cal attractions. I enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Park Place. It was a 3 minute walk to the park gates. *sigh* I love Disneyland. Hopefully we'll be able to go again next year. Oh, a must-read book is The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland. It has excellent tips for minimizing wait times. Also, be sure to stop at the Town Hall in Disneyland to get your dc a birthday button and birthday phone call from Goofy (both free). The last time we went was on my second dd's birthday. She loved all the extra attention and calls of "Happy Birthday, Princess!" The crowd waiting at the train station in New Orleans Square sang "Happy Birthday" to her as well. An unofficial perk of the button is a free stack of tortillas at the tortilla factory in California Adventure. You normally get one free tortilla per person when you take the tour, but if you're wearing your birthday button they'll usually pass you an extra stack. ;) Have fun! :)

Pretend that I have an unlimited budget. :D If you have an unlimited budget, stay at the California Grand on the concierge level. Contact the concierge way ahead of time and plan out your trip. There are great things you can book, like private parade seating and great tours. Fav. rest is Ariels in California Adv. for characters. Best rest. is Blue Bayou. Tell the Grand its your dc bday and they will have great goodies. Have fun.
lighthouseacademy
Also, if you are flying, Alaska Air is running a special if you book a Disneyland vacation that kids fly free and many of the hotels are running stay 3 nights one is free etc. Some have free food or 99 cent food for kids under 12, so I would look into Alaska Air's website. Cricket
Oh, a must-read book is The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland. It has excellent tips for minimizing wait times. I second this book. It's a great help! I've found the best park ticket prices through http://www.arestravel.com. I think 5-day park hopper tickets are the best. By the end of the fifth day, you've done everything you wanted to and are ready to leave. The only thing I would do differently next time is to stay 6 days. That way we could kill ourselves the first two days, then have a day of rest and then go like crazy for the last three days. Have fun!!! I love that place. We went the week before Christmas and we are already planning our next trip. :001_smile:
