swimnactmom
I was considering The Latin Road to English Grammar. I really am not interested in studying Latin as a formal language for several years. I thought it would be good to study for vocabulary and grammar purposes. Are there any other Latin programs that I should look at for 6th grade next year?
magistramom
Lively Latin is very, very good in teaching Latin and integrating grammar in a gentle manner. It can be used easily after LC-I.
Beth in Central TX
If you just want to do Latin for a vocabulary program, Memoria Press has the Book of Roots by Paul OBrien. It has 25 lessons, and each lesson introduces Latin roots, definition of the roots, English derivatives, and definition of the derivatives. There's no grammar work though. It's a very complete program, and in my opinion, geared for logic stage students.
Carol in Cal.
I would use Vocabulary Vine. It's a pure roots program, and covers Greek as well as Latin roots.

mrdawson
Another good option is Vocabulary from Classical Roots, which introduces both Latin and Greek roots.
magistramom
For a quick study in Latin and Greek roots and derivatives: English from the Roots Up (2 books). You can also learn a fair amount of roots by doing a quick study course in Medical Latin or Law Terms. You can find these books in the reference section of your local bookstore.
