Moxie
Which Motivated Moms calendar do you use and do you like it? What extra chores have you had to add? Do you feel like Motivated Moms keeps your house company ready or just livable?
Oak Knoll Mom
I use the one page/week. My neighbor uses the one page/day, but that seemed like a lot of printing and I don't always get to chores on the exact day they are assigned. I like having a week to look at at one time and having the freedom to move chores around depending on when I can get to them. Company ready depends on how you define it. If it means my house is spotless and ready for a magazine shoot at all times, then no. But if it means that your house looks lived in, but clean and welcoming, then yes. Yep - clean and it never was picture perfect. I like that it is a few things each day. I get out the list and the kids and I work through it together. They are learning that if they get to me quickly when I pull out the list they get the easier tasks before someone else takes them. I have dusted things I don't usually dust and the kids are now really good at cleaning the bathroom sinks, and the bathrooms all have a good supply of toilet paper and fresh hand towels. I vacuum each floor twice a week, and it is only scheduled once a week but that hasn't been a problem. I just vacuum the whole house when the schedule says to vacuum one floor. I circle things I have skipped for the day to make sure I come back to them later in the week. And if I do something ahead of time, I happily check it off. ETA: I added "set up coffee" to the daily task list, and replaced clipping coupons with cleaning humidifiers on the weekly. Daisy
Week at a glance or one page per week. I like the one with the Bible reading on it as well. I don't think I have to add much. At least I can't think of anything off the top of my head. Oh, CLEAN the school area/books.
KIN
I also use the week on a page with the Bible readings. I really like that even if I get off a week or two that I can just start again, I'm not overwhelmed with "where should I start?". It keeps my house clean but but lived in. I do the school area and books when it says "office" I also kick dh out of his office if he's there and dust it.

I have one with a time, I just never remember to set it up. Nice. MM saves the day.
lollie010
I love my MM schedule. I use the page per day--I three hole punch the lists and keep in a home binder, with our budget, recipes, shopping lists, etc. I used some ideas from other sites and have added a weekly deep clean focus area so most rooms in the house get a deep clean once a month. This week i worked on the master bedroom. It adds about 20 minutes a day to the schedule. I also have a daily "hotspot." For example, Mondays are for the dining or breakfast area. I spend 10 minutes in the scheduled room, usually decluttering. It gets easier each month as there is less to do.
Osaubi
Thanks for the post I had not heard of this until now. I went to the website and I found that this is exactly what I have been looking for. I look forward to using this system. I bought the week at a glance page. It just seemed easier on me and the trees :001_smile:.
