xxxxxxxx
We had to take it back to the library because someone wanted it. I put it on hold so we should get it back in a week or so. So far he has had some really good ideas. My 9th grader is watching it.

Caryl
They're on sale right now at the Teaching Company's website. Anyone else want to chime in on their value??
djkapp
Ii had my daughter watch this course the summer before her junior year. We were both impressed with the content. She found it especially helpful when she began her dual credit courses at the local university. My two younger girls watched the course also, but I will probably have each of them view it again before the junior year. Yvonne
Kareni
This program is mentioned quite frequently on the board. Here are two past threads that might be of interest: How to Become a Superstar STudent We just watched the first lecture from "How To Be A Superstar Student"... Caryl
Thanks for responding to two of my questions, Kareni, with some links to great threads on this board. How do you find them? When I use the search function on multiple words, it turns up any posts that contain some of those words. Do you have them bookmarked, or subscribe to them somehow? Thanks so much for all your contribution to the board - I've read a lot of your posts.
Kareni
Thanks for responding to two of my questions, Kareni, with some links to great threads on this board. How do you find them? When I use the search function on multiple words, it turns up any posts that contain some of those words. Do you have them bookmarked, or subscribe to them somehow? Thanks so much for all your contribution to the board - I've read a lot of your posts. Thanks for your kind words, Caryl. Part of it is just remembering valuable past discussions on the same topic! For this thread, I hit the search button near the top of the board then entered Superstar Student in the Keywords area. I also limited the search by highlighting Parents' Forum High School and Self-Education Board in the Search Forums area. Once I got the twenty results, I took a look at them until I found the ones I had remembered. (I do wish there was a way to narrow the search to a phrase. Putting a term such as Superstar Student in quotes does not narrow the result at all. You do still get all threads containing the word Superstar as well as the word student. This is less of a problem with an unusual word like Superstar; however, Teaching Textbook brings up a boatload of hits since both words are frequently used!) Best wishes!
