Julie in GA
My ds14 just finished Volume II of Latin in the Christian Trivium, but only got a "C" (78%) on the final exam. Since we're ony midyear, I'm wondering if I should: go ahead to Volume III, but take it slowly (budget issue here) use Henle Latin 2 for the rest of the year (this is cheap - YAY!) go back to some skipped chapters at the end of Vol 1 OR ??? I'd love to find a bunch of grammar & translation exercises at the Year 2 level, and do these, along with vocabulary review, but don't know where to look. TIA,
ChrisN in NY
Hi Julie, I'm studying LCT Volume 3 and so is my dd17... she's only two chapters behind me (I've got to get moving!)!! It wouldn't hurt to do the chapters he skipped from the end of Volume 1. Did your ds use the drill sheets and the study sheets for Volume 2? If not, they're a great resource for review and practice. Julie in GA
That sounds good, Chris. Yes - he has done the drill sheets, etc., but I haven't been going over them with him lately -- he's been checking them himself. I think the oral reinforcement of reading his answers to me will help too.
