Asma_08
Just thought I would get some input. I am trying to plan second grade, which I start after my son turns 7 around March. I don't think I have enough language arts. Singapore PM 3B/4A with Intensive practice FLL 2 WWE 1 Sonlight science 1 SWO B ETC 5 SL readers 2adv GDI handwriting C SOTW 1 Arabic Religious studies Art (drawing with children?, hopefully, didn't really get to it this year) I know that language arts are our weakness, not sure what to add. I know I don't do enough narrations or copywork with science or history. Will WWE cover that? Thanks for any input!
Haiku
6/12 of your materials are language arts oriented. Seems like enough to me! WWE schedules narrations and copywork twice a week each. We do history narrations 5 days per week and science narrations twice per week, so to me, WWE does not provide enough if that's the only narration you are doing (we love WWE, btw!). I don't think there is any material you can or need to add to your plan for language arts, but my recomendation would be to do at least one science and history narration a week. Cornerstone Classical
I think it looks good, you have FLL for the grammar, WWE for the writing and you have SWO for spelling. WWE workbook will not cover history or science. It uses exerpts from literature. Although you can pull out passages from your history and science to do so if you wish. You can easily incorporate narration and copywork on your own using SOTW or having you child narrate from your SL books. :001_smile: HTH

Tara You know I never looked at it like that. I guess I was comparing him to kids his age in public school and the amount of writing they do. I guess I should just work on science/history narrations. We really don't do any and I have been very inconsistent with those subjects. Ok, I guess this is a good schedule. I searched for other posts with the same topic and cant find much. The ones I did find seemed to be doing more than I am. But I don't think we need to do more so I will just stick with this.
