Nicole M
Mine started in Nevada, and is now in Kentucky. I'm in the pacific northwest. What the heck is that about? Jiminy! I ordered this book last week for my son's class at community college and at this rate, he may have to drop the course and take it next quarter. Is UPS so desperate for business we need to send our packages on the least efficient route possible? Okay. I'm done now. But I don't feel much better. LisaKinVA
I tracked one of mine recently... It took 4 days to get from Chicago, IL to Hodgkins, IL  (oh, and it was supposed to be HERE the day it arrived in Hodgkins). It is now in Richmond... so I may have it on Monday (unless they route it to DC first!):D
Chelle in MO
They must use Amtrak's routes from years ago...to get from St. Louis to Kansas City (due west 4 hrs.), you had to go through Miami. Just kidding. Sort of. Chelle
elegantlion
I'm tracking a package from UPS. I ordered it on the 22nd and won't get it until tomorrow. UGH! So much for quick shipping. It's been delayed twice and rerouted due to weather issues. I wonder if that really messed them up this holiday.
dragons in the flower bed
Mine started in Nevada, and is now in Kentucky. I'm in the pacific northwest. What the heck is that about? Jiminy! Oh, man. Buyers on eBay get so mad when we tell them it doesn't matter that they live in the next state and could come get their thingamabob in two hours, the package is going to the big regional processing center, and is thus going to take at least four days to get to them. I'm in WA, too, and sick of my packages going from CA to out east and then back again. There is no such thing as 2nd day air anymore for me and I'm pretty darn sick of it. :glare:
LaxMom
My favorite is "tracking" packages on the USPS website, where they are allegedly still in the original post office days after being delivered to me.
Parrothead
My favorite is "tracking" packages on the USPS website, where they are allegedly still in the original post office days after being delivered to me. I've been tracking one being sent USPS. It hasn't done anything but left Amazon. It left Amazon on the 26th of December. Supposedly it will be here by the 7th. I've found that USPS tracking is the most unreliable tracking there is.

Paula in PA
I know all too well what you mean. One of the things we ordered for dd started here in Pennsylvania, went to New Jersey, back across to Ohio, up to New York, and then, finally, got delivered here in western PA. It was maddening to watch the tracking go all around us for over a week! :glare:
FO4UR
It could have gotten thrown on the wrong truck by a worker. My dh works in a hub:tongue_smilie: I know during Holiday seasons there are lots of seasonal workers at both UPS and FedEx. It's just not the best time to order stuff. I hope it gets to you soon! I need to simply look away. Don't track. Just say no. That's my new motto. When it's a book you rilly, rilly want, though, that's tough. I know. I thought about that, too. I also thought about how unsustainable it is to buy one book from far away. But I do. I sometimes imagine St. Peter like Ricky, saying to Lucy, "You've got some 'splainin' to do...!"
